The Kitchen at Grove Station Opens Today!
Today is opening day for The Kitchen at Grove Station, a new restaurant opening at 299 Marin Boulevard on the bottom floor of the International Financial Tower at Pershing Plaza. The restaurant, which took over a lunch counter, is a mix of a cafe and an upscale, but relaxed, New American restaurant that will be open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
It is BYOB and the menu takes a seasonal approach along with emphasizing local ingredients and businesses. It seems as though they will have a full-service ModCup bar and the dessert menu lists ice cream from Torico's. The chef, David Viana, was most recently part of the team at Battello and he's put together a menu that focuses on updated classics, all of which seem pretty reasonably priced upon first look at the menu.
Based on their website alone, which is one of my favorite restaurant websites ever (easy to find absolutely everything), I have pretty high hopes for this place. I walked by it over this weekend and there was a lot of hustle and bustle inside as last minute details and finishing touches were put into place. The space looks pretty sizeable, but intimate and well-decorated and it's clear that attention to detail was paid every step of the way.
Congratulations to The Kitchen and you can also check them out on FB and Instagram,
Had an awesome meal here last night. Shared almost 80% of the menu with friends and there were very few misses out of what we had. The spotlight was shining on the Lamb tartare, polenta and scallop crudo though. Very reasonable prices. I'll be back soon for sure.
ReplyDeleteOh good, glad to hear you liked it. The lamb does look great.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear this has happened. I'll be honest, I'm not sure how much this will help and apparently the management has been out of touch for months, but if I hear differently, I'll let you know.
DeleteI got a new contact for them...will go that route first...thx
