Today, 5/2, marks the return of the Farmer's Market at Grove Street. The market will run every Monday and Thursday through December from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
Vendors include returning favorites like Stony Hill Farms, Poplar Wood Farm, Bread & Spoon, Taproot Organics, Stella's Empanadas, Jersey City Fish Stand, Jersey Buzz, Busy Bee Organics, and Squeeze'd among others.
This year, the market has gone through some expansion and the roster of vendors has grown substantially. New vendors include the increasingly popular Baonanas, Miss Molly's Honey, Topher's Pesto Fresco, Jamming and the Food, Pasta Dal Cuore, and several others.
A couple of new additions I'm personally especially excited to check out are raw chocolatier Elements Truffles, savory hand pie maker Black Swan Pies, and Van Hook Cheese and Grocery. All three of these places are businesses that have recently opened or will soon be opening in Jersey City and this is a great way of previewing what's to come and exploring the next wave of culinary influence in our city.
