Located at 237 Pavonia Ave near Hamilton Park, Rumba Cubana is part of the ground floor retail space in the new Park Francis building from the Silvermans. After signing the lease early last spring, they'd initially planned to open over the winter but faced some construction delays and held their first sneak preview a couple of weeks ago before officially opening this week.
With three other locations throughout Northern New Jersey and another location coming soon to Rochelle Park, Rumba Cubana already has quite a following. Known for their traditional Cuban dishes like ropa vieja, churrasco, and picadillo, they also have a wide selection of soups, salads, tapas-style dishes, and some weekly lunch specials as well as a full bar.
The restaurant will be open from 11am-10pm on Sundays through Thursday and 11am-11pm Fridays and Saturdays.
