Weekend Round-Up: Mt. Carmel Feast, Lucky 7's Rock & Roll BBQ and More

Happy Weekend, Jersey City! If you're staying in town, there are some great festivals and plenty to eat and drink. Here's what's going on:

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Feast, 7/12-7/16 - 99 Broadway
The Mt. Carmel Annual Feast is back again this year, running from 6:30-12am on both Friday and Saturday and until 11pm on Sunday. There will be music, rides, a nghtly 50/50, an outdoor Italian cafe and lots of great Italian/Italian-American food.

Madame Claude Bis to Open This Week

Madame Claude Bis, owned and run by husband and wife team Mattias Gustafsson and Alice Troletto, is tentatively scheduled to open tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1st.  confirmed open as of June 1st. They'll be open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner (with Manouche Bag playing every Thursday) and will offer brunch on the weekends beginning at 9am.

• Congratulations to Baonanas for joining Smorgasburg and their feature on Thrillist.
• Madame Claude and Mana Wine are joining up for a new wine class: Discover the Wines of South America for $65/person. There will be 7 wines to try along with small plates from Madame Claude's.
• The Historic Paulus Hook Association is hosting their 8th annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 10th from 9am-noon.
• Surf City has announced they'll open for the season on Friday, May 13th.

Community News

• Crave Jersey City is hosting a special soul food dinner, "Taste of Greenville" with Andy's Market at New Park Tavern on February 22nd. A portion of the proceeds will go towards FeedJC.
• Nu Bar has changed their schedule and will now be closed on Mondays, beginning tomorrow.
• Porta will be closed this Monday and Tuesday for some minor construction but will reopen on Wednesday, Feb. 4th at 5pm
