The contestants for the Garden State Culinary Arts Awards, recognizing the best and brightest chefs and restaurants in New Jersey, have been announced and Jersey City has a strong showing.
There are 13 categories each with approximately ten candidates from all over the state. Later this spring, the candidates will be voted on by 100 independent judges from all throughout the food industry in New Jersey.

Nivardo Sanchez of Hamilton Pork, nominated as a Rising Star Chef (Chefs under 30)
