Community News: Buffalo Boss Opening Soon, Frankie and Harry's Daughter Launch Brunch, and More

Jersey City

  • Corgi Spirits is enhancing your brunch drinking experience. Beginning this Sunday, they will have a food truck on site all Sunday to cover your brunch dining desires while they handle the drinks. 
  • Buffalo Boss, a wing spot owned by Jay-Z's cousin and financially backed by Jay-Z, is expanding into Jersey City. There are currently three locations open in New York and this will be the first New Jersey location. Buffalo Boss is known for their variety of 12 sauces which range in flavors and heat levels. It is scheduled to open at Newport Centre later this month. 
  • Departed Soles is releasing new beer Doughnut Soles this Friday. Made in collaboration with Montclair Bread Co., the beer is Departed Soles' take on a white stout made with 100 brioche doughnuts. 
  • The Hutton is hosting a Guinness and Grubbery event next Wednesday, 2/28 at 7pm. Tickets are $35/person and reservations are required. 
  • Congratulations to Dan Richer of Razza who was named a Best Chef in the Mid-Atlantic semi-finalist in the James Beard Awards. 
  • White Star Bar has extended their Monday night Burger and Beer special to the Warren Street location. Every Monday, you can get a burger and any beer on draft for $14 at both the Brunswick Street and Warren Street locations. 
  • Talde has brought back Tapas Tuesdays. Get any tapas dish for $3 or get your choice of 7 items for $16.
  • Korai Kitchen, a new Bangladeshi restaurant, opened last Friday near Journal Square. 
  • Both Frankie and Harry's Daughter launched their brunch service last week. Frankie will be serving brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-3pm while Harry's Daughter will only be open on Sundays for now from 12pm-5pm

Outside Jersey City
  • Congratulations to Choc-O-Pain who opened their second location in Hoboken in the Hudson Tea Building at 1500 Washington Street.
