Edible Jersey's Eat Drink Local Week launches this Friday 7/22 and runs through 7/31. Intended to celebrate the local, seasonal food of New Jersey, restaurants all throughout the state are participating with special menus, events, and additional items to highlight the wide variety of produce and handcrafted goods available locally.
The list of participants in Jersey City include Dark Side of the Moo, Razza, and Bucket and Bay. Bucket and Bay in particular will be celebrating with an extended menu for the week including specialty salad bites all made with local cheese, egg toasts on the weekends, and a new sweet option called Aladdin's Breakfast which is Brooklyn Sesame's halva on top of 5 grain toast with Bucket & Bay vanilla gelato.
Hudson Restaurant Week also starts up again on Monday, 7/25. Hudson Restaurant Week is a great time to try places you might not otherwise or to get a big bang for your buck by going to some of the higher-end places around town. Through past experience, I've found Maritime Parc and Satis Bistro are both solid bets. There are 16 restaurants participating this year with seven on the list offering both lunch and dinner. Lunch prices range from $16-$20 and dinner runs from $25-$40.
