Luna Opens Next Week

New bar and restaurant Luna, owned and operated by the owners of Paisano's in Rutherford, is scheduled to open to the public next week.

Park & Sixth Closed

Although no formal announcement has been made, Park & Sixth reportedly closed their doors a few weeks ago after months of whispers it was for sale.

Dullboy for Sale

After hearing rumors swirl for months, it appears Dullboy is officially for sale - or possibly even already sold.

*UPDATE*
Earlier today, the owners of Orale MK reached out to let me know that while Dullboy had been up for sale, it has now been taken off the market and instead, they have formed a new partnership with Dullboy owner Brian Dowling. Orale will come on board as menu consultants and will help manage the kitchen at Dullboy.

Gabriel Rieben, who's been the head of the mixology program at Dullboy to much acclaim since it started, is staying on board and it will remain Dullboy - just with some kitchen updates courtesy of the team at Orale. They hope to be able to present the new menu by early to mid March.

The Draper Has Closed

The Draper, 247 Washington Street, has closed after less than four months in business.

Jersey City Shake-Ups

There were quite a few restaurant changes and shake-ups in Jersey City over the holiday season. I'll be going a little more in-depth on some of these later, but for now, a recap:

The Kitchen at Grove Station has closed temporarily, announcing in late December they were undergoing some repairs and changes. Shortly after that, it was further announced Executive Chef David Viana and his staff had departed The Kitchen, but that the creative directors and management team were remaining and that the restaurant would reopen early this year with a new chef at the helm. To date, no announcements regarding who that new chef might be or what the anticipated date of reopening is have been made.
