Community News: Corgi Spirits Opening, Food Truck Permits, Graze & Braise at Grove St.

Jersey City

  • Corgi Spirits is opening to the public this Saturday! The initial opening celebration will run from 4pm-10pm and then they'll be open regular hours the following week. Corgi Spirits will offer both distillery tours and information and a tasting room with a selection of specially-crafted cocktails featuring their distinct spirits. 
  • Congratulations to Milk Sugar Love whose Mac Daddy ice cream cakes were featured on Thrillist.
  • Congratulations to Pasta Dal Cuore who Maltagliata Pugliese was recently named one of the 35 best pasta dishes in New Jersey by Pete Genovese. 
  • WHOS Gluten Free will be opening its doors to offer brunch on the weekends beginning this upcoming Saturday, 10/28
  • Liberty Prime Steakhouse is celebrating their 4 year anniversary this month with 1/2 price bottles of wine on Mondays. The remaining dates are 10/23, 10/30. and 11/6.
  • Graze and Braise will now be at the HDSID Grove Street Farmers Markets on Mondays selling their gluten-free, paleo meals and meal plans. 
  • Dorrian's is offering a free whiskey cake for the table when you check on Facebook and show your server.
  • Hooked JC has opened up a new back room, expanding their space and they're now taking reservations. 
  • Torico is having their annual fall pint sale - get two pints of their handmade ice cream for $16. 

Outside Jersey City
  • A petition is circulating for the One State, One Permit bill requesting a streamlined permitting process for food trucks with standardized, universal regulations. It requests that food trucks be allowed to receive a single state-wide permit so they can operate throughout the state without having to go through additional permitting processes or regulation checks depending on the city or county. 
  • NJ Monthly put out a list of the 10 Best Whiskey Bars in New Jersey which includes The Stewed Cow in Hoboken. 
  • Spirito's, established 1932, in Elizabeth was recently named the best Italian restaurant in New Jersey according to the Daily Meal.
