Uncle Momo to Open This Weekend

Uncle Momo is opening this weekend in the former Marco and Pepe space at 289 Grove Street.

Uncle Momo is a French-Lebanese restaurant that originated out of Montclair, but shortly after Marco & Pepe closed, it was announced they were taking over the space to open their second location, following in the footsteps of Ani Ramen, also originally based out of Montclair.

Since then, they've been hard at work on renovations including updates to the interior and installing a pizza oven to be used for their popular pitzas, a cross between pita bread and pizza loaded up with a variety of toppings.

The menu will follow closely to the Montclair location with an emphasis on Lebanese dishes like Zaatar bread, lamb kofta, labneh, and more.  They'll offer brunch, dinner, and have take out and delivery available. There are a number of vegan and vegetarian options available for dinner including several veggie-based pitzas, falafel, and soups but the brunch offerings for vegans are fairly limited.

Uncle Momo will open at 10am this Saturday and will be open Monday through Friday from 11am-10pm, 10am-10pm on Saturday, and 10am-9pm on Sundays. Stop by to welcome them to the neighborhood.
