Jersey City

  • Per WiredJC, French-Lebanese restaurant Uncle Momo will be expanding from their Montclair location to take over the former Marco and Pepe. 
  • Congratulations to Monique Johnson of Sweets 4 Miles who will be going to the America's Next Great Baker Nationals. 
  • The Grind Shop has installed taps for their La Colombe and are now serving up Pure Blacks, Draft Lattes, and Black and Tans. 
  • Surf City is opening for the season this Friday.
  • LITM has launched their summer drinks menu. 
  • Starting on 5/16, Rustique will be open until 11pm Tuesday through Saturday and they'll have outdoor seating available.
  • Jersey City Veggie Burger has started a new loan campaign to buy a burger patty machine to help keep up with demand. Any support is appreciated.
  • Chutney's has started offering Unlimited Dosa Night on Tuesdays.
  • Brewshot is launching a new coffee truck. It can be found outside the Hyatt by Exchange Place during the week. 
Outside Jersey City
  • A Toute Herre, one of the earliest proponents of the farm-to-table movement in New Jersey, has been sold. The Cranford area restaurant has been nominated for several awards throughout its ten year history and reassured fans the new owners will continue the emphasis on local, seasonal food.
