- Hudson & Co., a new nautical gastropub opened up at 3 Second Street on the waterfront late last week. The restaurant can seat approximately 300 people and serves traditional bar and grill food including steaks, salads, and burgers, but also has a heavy emphasis on fish dishes including a sushi bar.
- LITM is celebrating their 15th birthday on Saturday, 11/17 with a quinceanera-themed party with live music, Mexican food, and more. Reservations are now being accepted.
- The Kitchen Step is hosting a four course wine pairing dinner on Sunday, 11/11 at 6pm with wine from Palmer Evitt from Judge Palmer Wines. Tickets are $125 a person.
- Martha's is now carrying croissants and fresh pastries.
- Congratulations to Froth on Franklin for celebrating their one year anniversary with their official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Outside Jersey City
- A new bill has been proposed, outlining what kind of activity and food laws local New Jersey breweries would be subject to. This one is more liberal than the original iteration which was suspended after an outcry from brewery owners. Breweries would be allowed to hold special events on premises, partner with local food businesses, and would be released from their current tour requirement.
- Because of the rain this weekend, the Port Imperial Food Truck Fest has been moved to Saturday, 11/3.
