Community News: Taphaus Paulus Hook Now Open, Charritos opens vegetarian location, and more

• The Oak on Pine will celebrate their Grand Opening this Tuesday, 12/28 beginning at 5pm.
• Congratulations to Bambino Chef, Wonder Bagels on Central Ave, Oh Honey, Lutze Biergarten, Hamilton Inn, and Hamilton Pork for their features in the most recent Jersey City magazine by the Hudson Reporter. 
• Beginning Dec. 4th, the Journal Squared location of Whealth will be open until 8pm. To celebrate, they will be hosting a tree-lighting at 7:30pm.
• Taphaus Paulus Hook at 201 Marin Boulevard is now open. It's located in the former Tilted Kilt spot and is the third location of Taphaus.

• Congratulations to Rustique Pizza on celebrating 6 years in business, to Sam a.m. for celebrating 4, and Van Hook Cheese on celebrating their one year anniversary.
• 9th & Coles has officially rebranded and reopened as Ed & Mary's, named after the owners. It will continue to operate as a neighborhood pub and community-oriented space with comfort food, their variety of American and craft beers, and traditional cocktails. 
• Hudson County Community College is holding a series of family-friendly culinary classes from September through December. Right now, the classes are $29/person per class.

• Join Pret A Manger for a free breakfast and free lunch in honor of their Grand Opening at Newport on Friday. They will have 400 breakfasts and 500 lunches to give away. 
• Explore and enjoy some science and food with LSC After Dark and Midnight Market's new event, Electric BBQ, an evening full of great food, music, and a lightning show. The party runs from 6pm-10pm

Jersey City Ties, in partnership with WomenRising, is hosting a happy hour/school supplies at LITM tonight beginning at 6pm and running until 9pm.

• Jersey City Ties is planning their annual Spring Pub Crawl for May 2nd, beginning at 2pm.

JC Fridays Event with Jersey City Ties & The Thirsty Quaker

Next Friday, September 5th, Jersey City Ties & The Thirsty Quaker are presenting a special evening of live, local music & comedy as part of JC Fridays. There's quite a line-up and it will be running from 5pm until 10pm at 494 Monmouth Street.

Jersey City Ties, a local group for young professionals that aims to build community and support philanthropic endeavors, will be selling beer and wine to benefit their organization and The Lamp Post Bar & Grille will be selling food.
