Popular steakhouse Ruth's Chris opened their newest location at Newport Centre on Monday, celebrating with their traditional steak-cutting ceremony and introducing attendees to their new, more modern look.
This is their fifth NJ location and one of more than 150 worldwide and it's also one of the largest at 11,750 square feet with a 400 person seating capacity. In addition to the size, the company made some additional aesthetic updates to reflect the location as well as the direction they're trying to go by creating a larger bar area and a simplified, more open layout with more modern interior design. The restaurant also has an outdoor patio area and several private rooms for celebrations and events.

While Ruth's Chris is best known for their high-quality steak, served sizzling on 500 degree plates, they also offer a wide selection of fresh seafood, soups, salads, appetizers and more. The Jersey City location will keep their traditional menu and will be open daily for dinner service with happy hour at the bar from 4-7pm every Sunday through Friday and may add lunch service down the line.
The new location is located at 499 Washington Boulevard as part of Newport Centre.
