Halloween Night Events 2018


Happy Halloween, Jersey City! While the weekend was full of Halloween celebrations, there's still one more night of spooky fun, so don't retire your costumes just yet!

Here's where to go:


HDSID Family Halloween Bash, Newark Ave Pedestrian Plaza
From 3pm-7pm, head to Newark Ave by Grove Street for the HDSID Family Halloween Bash with candy, costumes, face-painting, a bouncy house, and more family-friendly fun.

Weekend Round-Up: Halloween in Jersey City

Happy Weekend Jersey City! Halloween festivities are starting early with lots of events going on all weekend. There's pumpkin carving, pumpkin patches, movies, costume contests, and much much more.

Friday, 10/26

  • Harborside is hosting the "Ultimate Halloween Party" from 8pm-1am. There will be a DJ, costume contests, food vendors, bars, a photo booth and much more. Entry is $20/person online and $30/door.

Weekend Events: Rocky Horror Nite, Twin Peaks Halloween, Corgi Spirits and more

I hope you have your costumes at the ready because this weekend is both the kick-off and the main event for Halloween. Just about every bar in town is having at least one celebration so you can enjoy just about anywhere, but here are a few highlights along with some other great events:

Friday

  • Join LITM for the start of a full weekend of Halloween festivities with their Two Nights In Neverland - they'll have music, dancing, $7 iced tea cocktails all night, and food specials. 
  • Fox and Crow is also joining in the two night party fun with Friday and Saturday nights themed as a Twin Peaks Halloween Weekend. The Parlour will transform into the Black Lodge, they'll have live music, homemade cherry pie, coffee cocktails, and costumes are encouraged.

Community News: Doughnut & Beer Tasting, Piggyback Bar to Launch Brunch, Hudson Hall Grand Opening

Jersey City

  • Growing in Jersey City and Glam About Town are hosting a special Halloween Doughnut and Beer Tasting at FM on Halloween night from 7-10pm for $35/person. There are four pairings and the doughnuts are being provided by Glazed & Confused.
  • Australian-inspired natural wine bar and eatery Frankie will be opening to the public for dinner this week.

LITM Plans A Busy Halloween Month

LITM is known for their lively Halloween costume parties and this year is no exception. In fact, they're leading up to their Halloween party with a full month of costume-friendly celebrations including an after-party for ComiCon, for the Ghost of Uncle Joe's Annual concert and hurricane relief concerts. Halloween Hits Jersey City

Happy Halloween Jersey City! Here's what's happening:

While not an event, Grandma Downtown is running an Oktoberfest roll special through 11/1. The chicken sausage & onion rolls and bacon cheddar sausage and jalapeno rolls are $2 each for delivery.

942 Summit is hosting Day of the Dead craft-making from 4pm-6pm Wednesday, 10/28

Halloween Weekend Events!

It's Halloween Weekend in Jersey City and there is a lot going on!
  • The Iron Monkey is getting into the spirit with $6.66 drink specials tonight and the Samhain Soiree Costume Party tomorrow. There will be drink specials, free candy, and prizes.
  • On Friday between 3:30pm-7:00pm, hang out on Newark Ave for the City of Jersey City's Family Halloween Bash. The 2nd Annual Halloween Parade will kick off at Gymboree at 3:30 and there will be festivities like a petting zoo, "Frozen" themed games, pony rides, S'mores from Bambino Chef and food will be available to purchase from Tea NJ, WORD, Roman Nose & more.
  • After the Family Halloween Bash, Newark Avenue will continue the Halloween fun with the Newark Ave. Pedestrian Plaza Closing Party which will have food, cider, and beer from all over town, music from DJ Pastiche and dancing. This will be the last night of having Newark Ave closed off so make sure to enjoy it!

Weekend Events

E. Tittlemouse & Co. is getting into the Halloween spirit early with an All Hallow's Masquerade Soiree tonight, Oct. 24th from 6pm-9pm and Sugar Supply JC is catering.

Also tonight, 9th and Coles will be hosting the official pre-party for Jersey City Pride this weekend. They'll have music, food, drinks and dancing from 5pm on.

The Pride festival itself will be held on Saturday in front of City Hall from noon-6pm and there will be live music, DJ's, and specialty food vendors all day.

The fun continues after the festival with after-parties at both Port-O Lounge and Brightside Tavern. For more information on all the events, check out the Pride FB page.

Keep the Halloween Party Spirit Going!

Jersey City is not letting Halloween fade after just one night! There's lots more fun and celebration to be had this weekend so don't put away your costumes yet!

Tonight, 9th and Coles is having their 4th Annual Halloween and Costume Party where they are eager to crown a winner with a grand prize of a $100 bar tab!

Orale is starting the weekend by celebrating Dia de los Muertos from 5pm on, offering drink specials, a DJ, dancing and more! But that won't be the end of the Dia de los Muertos celebrations...

  • Jersey City Veggie Burgers made it into the semi-finalist round of the Start Something NJ competition and needs votes to advance to the next round! You can vote daily here: http://startsomethingnj.risingtidecapital.org/vote_food.html#vote
  • Today was the last farmers market at Riverside Park in Jersey City Heights until next year. However, the market at Journal Square continues through November and Van Vorst Park, Hamilton Park, Grove Street and Paulus Hook continue through December so you can still enjoy fresh and local produce!
  • Beat the chilly weather with Satis Bistro's "Taste of the Highlands" scotch tasting this Tuesday. More information here: http://www.satisbistro.com/events/
  • In sad news, Soul Flavors is closing after six years at their location on Grove Street. Citing difficulties recovering from Hurricane Sandy, the owners have decided to shut their doors but encourage people to keep up with them by emailing info@soulflavors.com and say that catering orders can still be placed. Best wishes to everyone.
