Project Eats 2017 Meet the Vendor: Baonanas

The Jersey City Project's Project Eats 2017 is back on 6/24 and 6/25 with new vendors and returning favorites, all ready to serve up some delicious, indulgent eats. To help get you ready, I'm excited to be collaborating with The Jersey City Project to spotlight some of the vendors from this year's Project Eats, learning more about their business, their food, and what they love about Jersey City.

This week, we're focusing on some favorite Jersey City vendors. Check out Baonanas, a Jersey City born & bred company that started under unfortunate circumstances to end up setting its founders on a whole new path!

Guide to Project Eats

It's finally here. This weekend, The Jersey City Project and The City of Jersey City Present Project: Eats and there's an incredible line-up of vendors representing a wide variety of cuisines and eating styles.

To help you plan ahead (because it's almost impossible to try everything although I'm all for trying), I've put together the list of vendors with notes on what they'll be serving and if I've seen any specials announced.

Project Market

The Jersey City Project is back again with their third annual Project: Market this Saturday and Sunday from 11am-6pm behind City Hall.

While this particular market focuses on vintage and hand-crafted goods for the holidays, there's still plenty of good eats to enjoy and it's the perfect spot to pick up a few food-related gifts for the obsessed eater in your life - or just some good host/hostess gifts.

Project Eats 2015 Vendors

In case you've missed the news, The Jersey City Project's Project Eats is this weekend! This year, they're expanding it to two days, both Saturday and Sunday from 11am-7pm (this means if you time it right, you can pretty much have every meal of the day here). Here's a quick look at last year's event.

Not only is this a great festival for all the best eats around, there's a special food-centric marketplace, highlighting some of the best small businesses and product vendors around.

Project: Eats!

This Saturday, July 26th, The Jersey City Project is hosting what will probably be the best event ever (by my standards), Project: EATS!

Ever since the announcement came out, I've been looking forward to this. Not just for the food, but because The Jersey City Project creates amazing, varied, and vibrant markets full of delicious food, interesting, unique crafts, home goods, and specially-crafted furniture. There's always something for everyone and this market promises to be no different.

Event Recap: Project Earth

This past Saturday was The Jersey City Project's first event of the year, Project: Earth, and it was fantastic! Besides giving me my first sunburn of the year (a sure sign of spring), the event also had tons of people, dozens of vendors from Jersey City and beyond, and lots and lots of delicious food.

Showcasing small and local businesses around Jersey City, the outdoor market had a heavy focus on earth-friendly items and products including organic bath items, reusable bags (I ended up picking up a pack of the produce ones), planting, and eco-friendly living, including a big Stop The Drop art project as part of the city's campaign against littering. These are just samples of everything that was there.

This Weekend is ALL About Jersey City

Trying to plan your weekend? I hope you're not planning on being anywhere other than Jersey City because there are two major events celebrating creativity, unique finds, and shopping local happening this weekend and you do not want to miss them.

Besides the extraordinary array of product and design vendors being showcased, both events also have amazing food line-ups to keep you satiated as you shop. And let's be honest, for most of us me, that's really the major draw here. Knowing there's delicious food to be had and really cool things to look at? There's no turning back now.

First up, on Saturday 4/26, The Jersey City Project will be bringing Project: EARTH to City Hall from 11am - 6pm and this one promises to be even bigger and better than December's Project: Market (which was already pretty great).

Event Recap: Jersey City Project: Market

Yesterday was the much anticipated Holiday Market presented by the Jersey City Project and Yelp and Jersey City turned out in full force for the occasion! There were tons of people, lots of great stands and creative gift items around and of course, some delicious food.

The variety and creativity on display was astounding with everything from imprinted goods from Nightingale Project to soaps and cars from Smith and Chang while Kanibal Home brought out some beautiful antique jewelry.
