Sam a.m.'s new dinner concept, The OAK on Pine, is getting closer to opening their doors and in the meantime, they've launched a supper club.

The Fourth of July is almost here and while holiday weekends are always a good excuse to head out of town, there are a lot of good reasons to stick around. Check out who's running specials, who will be closed, and some great events:

In honor of Independence Day, the City of Jersey City is putting on their now-annual festival with live music, vendors, good food, and fireworks.

Uber & National Doughnut Day

Today is National Doughnut Day and to celebrate, Uber is offering a 4pack of Glaze Donut's Italian rainbow doughnuts to users in Hudson, Bergen, and Essex Counties between 10am-3pm.

Incrediballs Offers St. Patrick's Day Special

Incrediballs is offering a special new meatball this week in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

They've created an Irish Style Banger pork meatball with mashed potatoes and Guinness Stout onion gravy.

They'll be out every day for lunch this week at either Harborside (Wed/Fri) or Exchange Place (Tues/Thurs) and will be serving dinner at the Beacon on Wednesday so you have plenty of chances to give this special a try.

• Two Boots Pizza is scheduled to open their newest location this week at Newport Centre Mall. They will be focusing on vegetarian and vegan options. 
• Speaking of pizza, congratulations to Razza for making it onto the 25 Best NJ Pizzerias for the second year in a row.
• LoLo Organics has officially closed amidst rumors of a dispute from their partner company and after receiving an Unsatisfactory report from the Health Department.

9 Bar Cafe "The True Italian Experience"

Join 9 Bar Cafe as they celebrate Italian Heritage Month and Columbus Day with a day-long coffee celebration tomorrow, Monday 10/12.

I've written before about the quality of 9 Bar Cafe and their coffee and tomorrow is the perfect chance to experience all they have to offer with three different deals to enjoy their coffee and food and have the true Italian experience.

$1 Taco Tuesday at Dullboy

Dullboy is one of my favorite spots to have opened up in Jersey City over the past six months or so. It's flat out one of my favorite spots in Jersey City altogether. The drinks are excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it's nice to have a space where conversation is promoted rather than restricted.

Recently, they've started working in some rotating specials and events to the weekly schedule like $1 oysters on Monday, gypsy swing brunch on Sundays, and what I most recently stopped by to check out, $1 Taco Tuesdays.

• Hudson Restaurant Week starts tomorrow.
• Carrino Provisions will be grilling up shrimp, chorizo, elote and more at this week's Mexican-themed barbecue.

Thanksgiving in Jersey City 2014

Wondering what to do and where to eat before, during, and after Thanksgiving? Here's a list of what's happening in Jersey City.

• La Conguita is already offering turkey specials and will be open from 8am-5pm on Thursday and 8am-10pm on Friday.
