• This Tuesday, join See Spot Rescued at The Archer for their 4th Annual Hair of the Dog fundraiser. Entry is free but they'll have raffle tickets and a silent auction.
• Riverview Farmer's Market has announced their vendor line-up including an ongoing rotation of food trucks.
• Baonanas is now available for pick-up at Banyan Cafe.

Noodlefan Opening in Journal Square

Noodlefan USA, a local casual Thai/Asian group of restaurants, is opening at 2814 JFK Boulevard, right by Journal Square. They're planning on beginning with a soft open today After running into some technical issues, they have had to delay the soft opening, but hope to be open within the next week or so. The restaurant will be open 7 days a week from 11am-10pm.

Choc O Pain Bakery Opens in the Heights

Congratulations to Choc O Pain on their new Jersey City Heights location which opened today.

White House Chef To Visit Vinnie's Pizzeria

According to the Jersey Journal, Jersey City can look forward to seeing White House chef Guy Mitchell this Saturday at Vinnie's Pizzeria, 3417 Kennedy Boulevard. David Ortes, the owner of Vinnie's, has had a long standing friendship with Guy Mitchell.

Chef Mitchell is scheduled to be there from 1:30pm-4pm and will be speaking about his career and experiences at the White House.

Congress Station Coffee and The Draper Are Now Open

We've been on a roll of new spots opening around Jersey City and now we've got two more to add to the list.

Weekend Events

Start drinking a lot of coffee, Jersey City! You'll need it with all the great events happening around town this weekend!

Tonight, join the Chopping Block and El Chilango at the Lumberyard in Jersey City Heights for dinner beginning at 6:30pm and live music starting at 7pm. El Chilango has even created special shrimp and skirt steak dishes for the event!

942 Summit is hosting a special botanically-inspired Avant Garden event to benefit the Riverview Community Garden with custom-created goods and refreshments.

Weekend Events

Bucket and Bay Gelato has been running their soft open all week and to kick off the start of their Grand Opening, they'll be having an opening party tonight, Friday 6/5, from 5pm-7pm with free cone giveaways!

It's also JC Friday celebrating art and live music throughout the city, and many of the events are taking places at local restaurants and bars. Check the list to find out where you can go for good food, drinks, and local art of all kinds.

• Talde JC started offering brunch this weekend. They don't have an official menu posted yet, but so far, there have been pictures of filipino fried rice, kung pao chicken and waffles, and bacon pad thai amongst others.
• Park & Sixth has updated their lunch menu and is now also offering delivery from Seamless.

• FastBoy Delivery is now offering delivery from select restaurants for only $1.99 through April 30th. 
• Thirty Acres will begin offering a vegetarian option for their tasting menu this week. You must reserve in advance. 
• Hudson Flea in Journal Square is looking for licensed food vendors to serve food, drinks during the market. 

JC Heights Holiday Market on Saturday!

This Saturday, December 7th, join Farms in the Heights and the Riverview Neighborhood Association in celebrating the holidays with the Jersey City Heights Holiday Market from 11am-5pm!

 

Held at the Elks Club, the market will feature a wide variety of local vendors with music, food, and crafts for kids!
