On Monday, Alex's Pizza at 346 Grove Street officially opened. Previously occupied by Sava Polish Diner, the set-up remains fairly similar with orders being taken at a counter in the back and tables in the front. It's pretty spacious and it looks like they are trying to encourage dine-in eating.
When I was walking by, I picked up a menu to see what they'd be offering (it comes with coupons if you're interested!). It looks to be a pretty generic Italian/pizza place with subs, sandwiches, pastas, and pizza as the primary fare but it's a wide and varied menu that could be adapted for vegetarians and vegans. There's also a pretty decent list of salads which is a nice option and not one that I see at a lot of the local casual Italian places. They have lunch and dinner options for the entrees, priced differently, and most items run in the $11-$15 range for lunch and the $12-$20 range for dinner.
They do offer delivery and if you dine in, you can BYOB.
