Project Market

The Jersey City Project is back again with their third annual Project: Market this Saturday and Sunday from 11am-6pm behind City Hall.

While this particular market focuses on vintage and hand-crafted goods for the holidays, there's still plenty of good eats to enjoy and it's the perfect spot to pick up a few food-related gifts for the obsessed eater in your life - or just some good host/hostess gifts.

Here are all the vendors for the market:

Food Highlights:
Eema's Cuisine made their debut at JC Project: Eats this summer and was one of the most popular vendors both days with long lines for their musubi, so make sure to stop by. They also carry vegetarian musubi options.

Milk Sugar Love will be there debuting a new Mac Daddy. available only on Saturday the 5th, and will have some wrapped treats perfect for party gifts or stocking stuffers.

Grandma Downtown will be there on Saturday with a specialty porchetta sandwich, made with sourdough.

Busy Bee Organics will be serving up S'mores Hot Chocolate along with packaged nut butters for your giving convenience.

Food Gift Recommendations:
I've found that not only does buying locally made or sourced gifts make me feel good, but they always prompt discussion and interest in the gift. It's sharing a bit of you somewhere else. For that reason, and many others, I especially love giving local food and food-related gifts.

Taproot Organics - technically not food, but they're a great local vendor who creates all their products using real food and food-grade ingredients. The Chef's Special will be appreciated by anyone you know who cooks and the Coffee Scrub will take your favorite caffeine addict's obsession one step further.

Outer Limits Hot Sauce - besides being a fan myself, I've given a few bottles to friends and family all of whom have loved getting something they might not otherwise have access to.

Bread & Spoon (Saturday only) - well-known for the delicious baked goods they sell at local farmers markets, through Word, Tea NJ, and more, they're prepping some rustic sweet and savory items perfect for host and hostess gifts during the holiday party season.

Thirsty Quaker - one of the best places to stop for any of your seasonal drinking needs. There's a wealth of knowledge and recommendations to be had here, not just about what to drink or what to give to drink, but also equipment and brewing ingredients.

Happy Holiday Shopping!
