Why You Should go to La Festa Italiana: An Essay in Photographs

As I mentioned, La Festa Italiana is a really fun annual festival and street fair held in Jersey City. It ends tomorrow night, so you've got two more nights to go (or go again) and here's why you should:

 Live Entertainment

Delenio's Menu & the meatballs which were really good. Flavorful, juicy, and in a slightly tart tomato sauce.

Hot Sausage with peppers and onions - little bit of heat, lot of flavor. Messy and perfect.

Pure and Simple Hearth  has a wood-burning oven going, making sure there are fresh, made-to-order pizzas ready within a few minutes.

White Star has a selection of beers available and full bar service - prices aren't bad, ranging from $4-$8.  There's also another stand with homemade limoncello and wine - make sure to bring ID!

Rice Balls.  So so good. So worth the lines. Be warned, limited supply available!

And of course, freshly made and fried zeppole

Happy La Festa Italiana Everyone!  Thank you to everyone who puts in so much work to make sure this happens every year - it's worth it. And if you haven't been.....go now!
