Coming up, we have Surf City reopening tonight, May 15th and on Friday, they're officially kicking off the grand reopening with a First Friday party. Get ready to enjoy the first signs of summer!
Thursday is also the second day of the HDSID Farmers' Market at Grove Plaza with all your favorite farms and stands. The Taco Truck, The Cinnamon Snail, Stella's Empanadas, and more will also be there serving up delicious food.
Saturday, head over to Van Vorst and just spend the day! They'll be having a community flea market from 9am-4pm in the park. Later that night is the Meetball fundraiser at Victory Hall so you can socialize, eat, and enjoy your community while helping to raise money to keep these types of events going!
On Sunday, enjoy the Riverview Farmers' Market and stock up on your fruit and veggies for the week. If you're looking for a breakfast treat, ModCup will be there as will Cholita Dessert Bar so swing by after it opens at 9am. If you're there at noon, you can also catch a healthy cooking demonstration that will show you easy and creative ways to incorporate your market finds into nutritious and enjoyable meals.
If the weekend isn't enough for you and you're already looking ahead to the next week, both Madame Claude's (along with Three Little Birds) and Satis Bistro are having wine tastings on Tuesday night, 5/20.
On Tuesday, from 8-10pm, enjoy some relaxing yoga before enjoying an instructor-led class about different regions and grape varieties in Spanish wines. It's $40 for the class and you can register at threelittlebirdsjc.com .
Satis Bistro will be having an Australian wine tasting that same night, Tuesday 5/20, beginning at 8pm and for $45, you get 4 wines paired with light hors d'ouerves. Please call to reserve your spot.
