Weekend Events

Happy Weekend Jersey City! Here's what's going on:

The Journal Square Green Market runs from 11:00am-8:00pm.Village Yoga will be there holding a yoga class from 1:00pm-2:00pm and Bang Me Bakery with be there with a limited amount of their newly revamped Bust a Nutter Butter cookie along with their other offerings.

This Friday is the last Groove on Grove of the season, combining with the Artists & Makers Market at Grove Plaza as part of the JC Fridays festivities happening all around town. Expect to see a lot of great vendors out there including Raval, Orale, Milk Sugar Love, Iced Tea Fusion, Koro Koro and more along with (yes, alcohol) live music, craft vendors, jewelry stands, and henna.

As mentioned, it is a JC Fridays night so take some time to check out what's happening around town with the creative community. There will be music, performances, and various kinds of visual art all over town including exhibits and events at restaurants and coffee shops throughout the city. This is a great opportunity to explore Jersey City, explore art, and see what's out there. Here's the full list of events which you can sort by neighborhood or type of event.

Pint will be hosting Departed Soles Brewery from 5pm to midnight, so stop by to check out Jersey City's first brewery and learn a little about gluten-free brewing.

The 38th Annual St. Joseph's Parish Festival is running all weekend long on Baldwin and Magnolia Avenues. They've got games, music, raffles and lots of food including rice balls and zeppoles along with special themed Spanish and Philippines nights.

Ease into both Saturday and Sunday with Carrino Provision's new $30 all-you-can-eat brunch buffet which includes your choice of one mimosa, bloody mary, or draft beer.

Pacific Flea has been rescheduled for October, so make sure to check out everything else going on on Saturday.

The Art House's Fall Spectacular is a full day family friendly event at 136 Magnolia Avenue with food trucks like Chopping Block, beer tasting, a city-wide scavenger hunt, music, and a cake baking contest!


On Sunday, once you've recovered from all of Saturday's festivities, stop by the Riverview Farmer's Market or the Farmer's Market in Lincoln Park to refuel with vendors like JC Wingery, Cayena Colombian, Bone-In, Novello Cucina, and stock up for the week ahead.

Make sure to also check out 6th Borough Market from 11am-5pm for more food truck deliciousness, specialty craft and vintage, and other fun finds.
