  • Congratulations are in order for Jersey City Veggie Burgers who earned enough votes to advance to the finals round in the Start Something NJ challenge - so congratulations and best of luck!
  • Great news! Beginning tomorrow, the Incrediballs Truck will be offering Cocoa Bakery's cake truffles on the truck! I love this news for several reasons: a) it's great to see Jersey City businesses working together b) it's also great to see food trucks and brick and mortar stores working together c) I like foods in roundish form
  • Speaking of Cocoa Bakery, they recently announced a new menu item: chocolate bread and it looks amazing: https://twitter.com/CocoaBakeryJC/status/398449225031499776/photo/1
  • Yesterday, La Conguita announced the start of the turkey raffle! Every time you go, you'll receive a ticket with your check, entering you into a raffle for a free roasted turkey or gift card so eat up!
  • Orale announced they'll be hosting a Thanksgiving Eve party so make sure to start planning ahead now! DJ Sully will be there along with a lot of drink specials to help you enjoy your holidays: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=647714341925833&l=03406d05ee
  • Don't forget, next Sunday marks the return of the 6th Borough Market! If you need to do some holiday shopping, stop by to check out some handmade crafts and vintage goods as well eat great food from local vendors.
  • On Thursday, Iron Monkey will be having Flying Dog night with special guest Jim Caruso, Flying Dog CEO. It begins at 6pm and naturally, there will be some amazing Flying Dog brews on tap. http://ironmonkey.com/flying-dog-night/
  • Another market is coming to Jersey City, debuting December 8th in front of City Hall on Grove Street. Going by the name Project: Market, it will be "Shop Small" themed and feature a number of local businesses ready to serve your holiday shopping needs. There will also be food trucks and local vendors available for your gastronomical enjoyment. This market is part of a larger initiative called The Jersey City Project and I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more from them in the future.
