Now, as I presume most of us who actually live here will not be attending, there are some important matters at hand...like where to watch.
Going Out
Park and Sixth and Park and Sixth Gastropub are both bringing in extra TVs for the occasion and offering 6-for-5 beer buckets and half price wings along with other menu and drink specials! There is a $30/person minimum for table seating. Check here for more info.
LITM is starting their party at 4pm with DJ De Real spinning until the game starts which will be shown on the back wall big screen as well as over the bar. There will be wing specials with your choice of sauces (buffalo, swet soy, honey sesame, sweet thai chili) and drinks including $3 mimosas and $4 Full Sail Beers, Abita Andygators, and Terrapin Rye Ales.
Pint is offering up some great deals with $3 craft beers, $2 well drinks and $1 shots all during the game as well as lots of HD screens all around so you won't miss a minute. Take a shot in victory or one in defeat - for a buck, you can afford it for both.
Iron Monkey is celebrating the Super Bowl in a big way with drink specials all weekend as well as having what I think can best be described as a bucket special party the day of the big game as well as $3 Jameson and Avion shots during halftime.
9th & Coles is also celebrating the big game with food and drink specials from 5pm on (including $4 pepperoni bread and $6/dozen wings!?!) and the promise that they'll take care of all the work - so let them!
Brightside Tavern has been getting ready for Super Bowl with live music every night this week and to end it with a bang, they will have a la carte specials and a $20 buffet deal! They're also well known for the collection of huge tv's they have including a 10 foot screen!
Casa Dante will have half-priced beer, special Super Bowl cocktails, and more during the game. They're also offering 10% off your pre-game meal so stop by to enjoy dinner and stay to see how it all turns out!
Zeppelin Hall will be showing the game and offering you options from six different party platters as well as all their usual excellent beers! If you've got a large group, this is the place to go!
Trolley Car will be offering a variety of beer and drinks specials for the game as well as some complimentary food throughout the evening while you drink!
PJ Ryans is beginning their party at 6pm with an open BBQ buffet for $15, open bar for $25 and $3 draft beers as well as lots of other drink specials all night long! They have some of the biggest screens around and will be offering giveaways and raffles!
Staying In
If you're staying at home or someone else's home for the Super Bowl, you should kick off your day with a pre-game brunch at GP's in Hamilton Park including special football treats from All Kinds of Whoopie
The time for catering orders has mostly passed, but Roman Nose will still be doing large delivery orders tomorrow evening and if you're not into the Super Bowl, they will still be open for dinner as well, with no TVs.
Bon Chon, one of the best wings options in Jersey City, will be delivering. Buon Appetito, also with great wings, will be accepting delivery orders as well but call early as they do get delays.
If you see this before 8pm Saturday night, Iron Monkey is still accepting package deal orders for Sunday, either delivery or take-out, but they must be in by 8pm to guarantee availability.

No matter where or how you enjoy Super Bowl Sunday, if you're driving please do so safely. Have a designated driver and don't get behind the wheel if you (or the driver) have been drinking. One of the advantages to Jersey City is that there are a lot of great public transportation options around. Be safe. have fun and good luck!
