Livestock to End Service

This upcoming Sunday is the last day for service from Livestock at LITM before Livestock closes down permanently in June.

Back in April, I wrote about how much I loved Livestock and the spirit of fun and adventure the minds behind it were bringing to the table and recently, the Village Voice also wrote a piece about how it came to be, the food, and now, its closing.  What comes across is how Livestock is special and a unique addition to our dining scene which is why I've been so sad to hear about its discontinuation. This is something we need more of in Jersey City and I can only hope that we'll see more from the creators in the future and that their adventure will inspire others.

(buffalo bleu/chili kraut dogs, wild mushroom arancini, and modcup braised lamb sandwich)

In the meantime, if you haven't already been to Livestock, this is the weekend to go! Not only is the food generally great, this is their last weekend and they're determined to go out with a bang. They've planned a special menu that's being slowly announced over the next couple of days. Expect lots of plates to share with friends, a lot of meat, and a lot of fun. They are also accepting reservations through Open Table under LITM for their last day in service.

Best of luck to Livestock and I can't wait to see what comes next!
