Top Food Events in Jersey City

There are a lot of exciting culinary and drinking events happening around town over the next few weeks, so I thought it would be helpful to just compile one complete list of dates.

Ongoing Events
Sam A.M. is still holding weekly supper clubs every Tuesday through Thursday. Check in with them on a weekly basis to see the menu for each week; they usually post it on Monday.

Every Friday & Saturday through October and November, Whealth will be serving a three course tasting menu celebrating fall harvest at Smith and Chang. The series begins on Friday, Oct. 2nd and tickets are $45/person

9/24 
Oktoberfest at Satis Bistro, beginning at 8pm. Advance reservations are required.

Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits Cocktail Party at HopsScotch beginning at 7pm

9/25
South House is celebrating their Grand Opening with some live Blues bands.

Oktoberfest at Zeppelin Hall begins on Friday and will continue every weekend through October 24th. There will be German party bands, traditional German food and beers.

9/26 
FeedJC's Dinner in the Park from 5pm-9pm in Columbia Park. Proceeds benefit the homeless in Jersey City and the JC Parks Association.

The Irish Festival on the Hudson from 11am-10pm with beer trucks, food, and live music.

The Washington Park Live Arts & Music Festival from 10am-7:30pm with a beer garden, art show, live music, and food trucks.

The Newport Centre Haagen-Dazs Shop is celebrating their Grand Opening beginning at 11am. There will be a ribbon cutting, the chance to win free ice cream for a year, and the first 500 people at the shop will get a free scoop of ice cream or sorbet.

The Hamilton Park BBQ Festival  from 12pm-8pm at 232 Pavonia Avenue outside GP's . This is a huge end-of-summer event with live music, several barbecue vendors from NJ, NY, and PA, and vegetarian and vegan options as well as a small marketplace with local vendors.

9/27:  
The Jersey City West Side Chili Cook Off from 12pm-2pm at Lincoln Park by the Sunday Farmer's Market. Registration is now closed, but this free event will have over 19 varieties of chili!

6th Borough Market from 11am-5pm at Montgomery Street and Marin. The marketplace is stocked with antique and handcrafted goods, specialty food goods, and dining on-scene with food trucks, stands, baked goods and more.

9/28: 
Chilltown Kitchen Supper Club beginning at 7pm at the Park & Sixth Gastropub. This event is sold out, but they hold one with a different theme each month so keep an eye out for announced dates.

9/30
OraleMK is holding their own Oktoberfiesta, a five course tasting dinner with Bruton beer pairings beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets are at $55 per person.

The Bacon & Bourbon event,7 pm, at Iron Monkey where 5 original bacon recipes will be paired with 5 high end bourbons. There are two packages, one of which includes a Pappy Van Winkle tasting.

Barcade, from 12pm on, is hosting Sweetwater Brewing from Georgia as part of their NJ launch

The Yelp Oktoberfest Crawl at Newport begins at 5:30pm and includes stops at six different restaurants in Newport. Advance RSVP required.

The People's Choice Apple Dessert Contest at Riverview Park during the Riverview Farmer's Market. Registration begins at 11am and Tasting and Judging begins at noon.

Whiskey Tasting at Merseles Studios, 339 Newark Avenue, beginning at 6pm with help from Thirsty Quaker. There will be over 30 whiskeys available to try and tickets are $40 each
