Stony Hill Farms CSA

Stony Hill Farms, one of the most-seen farms at Jersey City Farmers' Markets, is offering a discount on CSA enrollment through tomorrow. Through their CSA program, you pay a flat fee to help cover production costs at the farm and in return, receive weekly shares of their best produce throughout market season.

Stony Hill has market pick-ups in Jersey City available on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday and they have limited home delivery available to select properties on Tuesdays. They offer full shares (4-6 people), half shares (2-3 people), and new for this year, personal shares. You can also add egg shares to your order for an extra fee, choosing a half dozen or dozen per week with your produce.

It's important to note you can't choose what goes into your share week to week,  but it will be based on whatever's freshest from the farm that week and quantities are pretty substantial. If you cook at home a lot, focus on produce-driven meals, or enjoy experimenting, CSA programs can be a great deal.

If you enroll by tomorrow, the full share is $864.03 and the half share is $552.00 for 24 weeks. After that the price goes up to $912 and $600 respectively. The personal share is $480 regardless of when you enroll.
