Chubby's Sandwiches Food Truck Coming Soon

Photo from Chubby's Sandwiches
New food truck Chubby's Sandwiches will be launching at Exchange Place this August.

Created by friends Joseph Buonsante and Chef Nick Daniele, the owner of Bella Gioia in Brooklyn, Chubby's menu is a throwback to the sandwiches they ate as kids growing up in New York.  They will offer quality, “legit” Italian butcher-style sandwiches, serving both breakfast and lunch along with a variety of old-school Italian sides like arancini and zeppole.

A lot of the sandwiches sound pretty hefty, but delicious, and they clearly had some fun coming up with the names. There are a couple of vegetarian options available, but meat does feature pretty heavily in the dishes. Prices range from $4-$6 for breakfast, $10-$15 for lunch (with a smaller, less expensive kids menu), and $5-$8 for the snack dishes. They are planning on offering local delivery.

No exact date has been set yet for when the truck will start, but they anticipate being ready to serve Jersey City in August. Stay tuned for more details.  The truck is now officially open and serving at Exchange Place every Sunday through Friday for breakfast and lunch.
