Photo from Chubby's Sandwiches |
Created by friends Joseph Buonsante and Chef Nick Daniele, the owner of Bella Gioia in Brooklyn, Chubby's menu is a throwback to the sandwiches they ate as kids growing up in New York. They will offer quality, “legit” Italian butcher-style sandwiches, serving both breakfast and lunch along with a variety of old-school Italian sides like arancini and zeppole.
A lot of the sandwiches sound pretty hefty, but delicious, and they clearly had some fun coming up with the names. There are a couple of vegetarian options available, but meat does feature pretty heavily in the dishes. Prices range from $4-$6 for breakfast, $10-$15 for lunch (with a smaller, less expensive kids menu), and $5-$8 for the snack dishes. They are planning on offering local delivery.
