Community News: 9 Bar Now Carrying The Lodg Doughtnuts, Koro Koro Reopening and more!


Jersey City
  • Madame Claude Bis and Lourdes of the Vine are teaming up again to offer more wine dinners this spring. First up, join them on Wednesday, April 11th as they sample regional wines from the Loire Valley. The tickets are $70/person for four courses and paired wines and reservations are necessary. 
  • Congratulations to Razza who received another glowing review and 8.9 rating from website The Infatuation.
  • Pasta Dal Cuore is celebrating Springtime on the Italian Riviera with Cool Vines in a special dinner this Tuesday. Make sure to make your reservations as soon as possible. 
  • If you've been on the lookout for more doughnuts in Jersey City, 9 Bar Cafe announced they would start carrying doughnuts from The Lodg at both their Erie Street and their Greene Street locations sometime this week. 
  • Koro Koro will be re-opening soon in Jersey City! Last year, they had to temporarily vacate their store for repairs. They focused on getting their second brick-and-mortar in Hoboken up and running, but now they're close to being able to return to their original location at 538 Jersey Ave and they are currently hiring. 
  • On April 9th, Helen's Pizza will be celebrating their 50th birthday with 1968 pricing on slices and sodas. However, the special pricing will only be available from 12pm-4pm.
  • Pizza Vita, one of five new spots in the Heights, held a preview lunch today for the neighborhood, offering up free pizza from 1-3pm. They plan to open to the public on Wednesday, 4/4.
  • The Residence Inn Marriott on the corner of Columbus and Marin has opened a new rooftop terrace bar and gallery with Panepinto Galleries. It's now open Monday through Saturday begining at 5pm. 
  • Local Jersey City bakery Sweets 4 Miles is fundraising this week to help send Chef Monique to Las Vegas to compete in the America's Best Baker Championship. They will have specials all week long including a dozen cupcakes for $15 dollars. 

Outside Jersey City
  • Shake Shack continues to expand into New Jersey with the opening of their newest location in Marlton, New Jersey. It opened last Thursday and is one of four new Shake Shacks opening soon in New Jersey with the other locations planned for Parsippany, Wayne, and Lawrence Township. 
  • Heirloom Kitchen is joining with chefs throughout New Jersey for a collaboration dinner at The James Beard House for the Beard Foundation on Monday, April 16th. 
  • Via Hoboken Girl, It's Greek to Me has closed their Hoboken location on Washington Street. Their other six New Jersey locations remain open.
