Community News: JGFT expands their Princeton Tour, Cafe Batata closed, Extended Ani Late Night Menu and more

Jersey City

  • In sad news, Cafe Batata will be closing their doors as of this Monday, 3/20. 
  • NJ Monthly recently featured Dan Richer of Razza. 
  • Ani Ramen has expanded their hours to include their full menu until 1am Sunday through Thursday and until 2am Friday and Saturday. 
  • Thanks to one of the Nor'Easter's we've been having, VB3 had to reschedule their Jim Beam tasting dinner for next Tuesday, 3/27. Tickets are $50/person. 
  • For tomorrow, Monday 3/19,  O'Leary's is extending happy hour another day with $5 food and an extra dollar off on all drinks. 
  • Cocoa Bakery has posted their Easter and Passover dessert menus. Place your orders now to make sure you have dessert covered ahead of the holidays. 
  • Join Whealth for a special three course Dinner with Musicians next Saturday, 3/24. Tickets are $45 and reservations are required. 
  • Women Rising Inc. is offering culinary food service training. If you're interested in entering the field, stop by their open house on Tuesday 3/20, for their open house discussing the program. 
  • Komegashi is hosting a blind scotch tasting and buffet dinner this Wednesday, 3/21. Learn more about whiskey, eat delicious food, and possibly win a prize. The dinner starts at 7:30pm and it costs $75/person. Reservations can be made via phone or email. 


Outside Jersey City

  • Jersey Girls Food Tours has added three more partners to their "Princeton: A Farmer's Food Tour".
  • Koro Koro got a mention on Eater in Robert Sietsema's new recurring column covering cheap eats in and around New York. 
  • Squeeze'd in Bayonne is closed for the week. They will reopen in time for their Yoga for Beginners class at 4:30pm on Sunday, 3/25
  • Restore, a Cleveland-based cold press juice and smoothie bar, have recently opened in Livingston and will be opening soon in Hoboken and they're hiring.
