Community News: The OAK on Pine Now Serving Brunch, PJ Ryan's Expands, Crepe Guru Launching Delivery & More

Jersey City
  • The OAK on Pine recently launched new lunch hours and a take-out menu, but this weekend, they also started serving Saturday Brunch! They're currently offering brunch, eat-in or take-out, from 10am-2pm on Saturdays.
  • Crepe Guru, opening soon at 110 Bright Street, will start offering delivery this Tuesday, 6/12 prior to their Grand Opening in August. Formerly located in Hoboken and known for their wide selection of sweet and savory crepes, Crepe Guru recently moved into the Bright Street location and are in the midst of setting up their permanent space. Delivery can be ordered via Uber Eats, Door Dash, Delivery.com, PostMates, and several other options. 
  • Congratulations to Chef Franco Robazetti, Executive Chef at Zeppelin Hall, on winning the title of 'Chopped' Champion and taking home a $10,000 prize. The Food Network show features three rounds of unusual ingredients that the competing chefs have to make into a composed meal using every element while watching the clock and Chef Robazetti won his Surf & Turf-themed challenge. 
  • Boulevard Drinks made it onto NJ.com's list of the 35 Greatest Old-School Restaurants in New Jersey. 
  • Corgi Spirits is hosting a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society this Wednesday, 6/13. Tickets include a free spirit tasting, one cocktail of your choice, and Happy Hour pricing for the rest of the evening. 
  • On Saturday 6/23, join The Hutton for their First Guinness, Oysters, and Music Festival to kick-off the summer season. They'll have bbq, oysters, lots of Guinness and local bands playing beginning at 1pm and going all day. 
  • Dolya has started an outdoor Grab & Go table during weekday mornings beginning at 8am. Stop by for a bacon, egg, & cheese blini and coffee for $5. 
  • Busy Bee Organics is hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. No experience is necessary. 

Outside Jersey City
  • PJ Ryan's Tavern has expanded yet again and opened up a new location in Newark at 35 Edison Place, next to the Prudential Center. They opened for Friends & Family last week and plan to celebrate their Grand Opening soon. 
  • Pete Genovese of NJ.com has put together a list of the 25 best restaurants for outdoor dining in New Jersey and the locations span the state. My personal highlights would include Charrito's in Weehawken and Maritime Parc right here in Jersey City.
