Community News: Sweetberry Now Open, ME Casa Moving, and more.

Jersey City

  • Sweetberry Bowls has officially opened in Jersey City. Located at 179 Newark Ave, they launched their soft opening late last weekend and will be celebrating their Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting this Thursday at 12pm. Sweetberry is known for their customizable smoothie bowls and salads. 
  • Congratulations to local bar Guillo's Place on celebrating 29 years in business downtown. 
  • ME Casa is moving from their location on Varick Street to 109 Christopher Columbus Ave. They'll start their soft open today, 6/4, and celebrate their grand opening on June 16th. 
  • Join Lourdes of the Vine and Madame Claude Bis for a night exploring wines from the South West of France next Wednesday, 6/13 beginning at 7pm. There are four courses with paired wines for $70/person. 
  • Cellar 335 is going to be open on Sunday, 6/17 for Father's Day and they're already taking reservations.
  • Thirsty Quaker is now carrying Modcup beans, both the drip blend and the espresso blend. 
  • The OAK on Pine is now accepting online orders for take-out. You can order through their website during normal business hours. 


Outside Jersey City

  • The 8th Annual Jersey Shore Wine Fest is this weekend, 6/9-6/10, from 12-5pm in Lakewood, NJ. 
  • Squeeze'd has extended their hours at the Bayonne shop for summer. 
  • New bakery Sugarsuckle has opened their doors in Hoboken.. They celebrated their Grand Opening this past Saturday with free baked goods, a look at the shop, and more. Sugarsuckle is known for their carefully crafted designs as well as their specialty flavors and combinations.
