Weekend Round-Up: JCAST, Corgi Spirits 1 Year, Suwanna Food Pop-Up & More

Happy Weekend, Jersey City! This weekend is full of art, anniversary celebrations, and delicious things to eat.


JCAST, all over the city
JCAST is the Jersey City Art & Studio Tour, taking place throughout Jersey City, showcasing performance art, tours, art installations, and more. There will be events and exhibitions all throughout the weekend, including at several restaurants and cafes.

9 Bar, Choc O Pain, Hard Grove, Mision Burrito and more will have art displayed in their spaces, open for anyone to check out and several spots are open late including WHOS GF who will be open for extended hours throughout the weekend.

Chicken & Waffle Fundraiser, AngelaCARES 696 Ocean Ave
AngelaCARES is hosting their 6th Annual Chicken & Waffles Fundraiser all day Friday, from 10am to 6pm. They'll have both chicken and waffle platters as well as just waffles. All proceeds go to supporting AngelaCARES, a local organization that focuses on advocacy and support for senior citizens, caregivers, and young people.

Corgi Spirits Anniversary Party, 1 Distillery Drive

Corgi Spirits is celebrating their one year anniversary of being open in Jersey City. To celebrate, they'll be hosting a party on Friday with extended hours from 8pm-1am and live music. They'll be releasing their new fall cocktail menu featuring their two new spirits, Smoking Lounge Gin and Cardigan Whiskey.

Mathews Anniversary Party, 351 Grove Street
Join Mathews for the second anniversary party this Friday, 10/5 beginning at 5pm. They'll be serving up a special menu featuring seasonal flavors.


Marketplace JC, 136 Magnolia Ave
Marketplace JC returns this weekend with a special JCAST edition featuring live music from Jersey City's own gypsy jazz band, Manouche Bag. They'll have hand-crafted goods from local vendors including jewelry, beauty products, and more along with several pop-up vendors serving up food.

Slurp, Sip, Repeat Ramen Eating Contest, Ani Ramen 218 Grove Street
Ani Ramen is hosting their 3rd annual ramen-eating contest. It takes place on Saturday from 3-5pm and it's a $20 minimum donation to enter. There are three prizes available and all proceeds will go to a charity of the winner's choice.

Suwanna Food Pop-Up, LITM 140 Newark Ave

LITM and Suwanna Food are collaborating to bring another Thai-American inspired day of eating. They'll have brunch from 12-4pm and dinner from 5-10pm with dishes like cheese wontons, Tom Kah soup, and more including an artists' Happy Hour from 5-7pm with $5 martinis, wine, beer, and cocktails.

Brunch Party at Frankie, 264 Grove Street
On Sunday, from 1-5pm, head to Frankie for a special brunch party, Frankie's First Affair, in tribute of Sade. They'll be serving up their regular brunch menu along with delicious cocktails, and lots of music.
