This Friday 4/1, PAFCOMNJ (Philippine American Friendship Committee, Inc) is holding a cultural and food-based event "Tipanan" from 6-9pm.
PAFCOMNJ is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting relationships amongst Filipino Americans, improving quality of life, and celebrating and preserving Filipino culture. For this event, they decided to focus on Filipino food and drinks and have invited some of the best known Filipino chefs from around New Jersey to present their favorite dishes including Chef Froilan Sarenas who was featured on Iron Chef. They will also have local restaurant Max's participating and have Filipino-inspired drinks created by LITM.
Tipanan will take place at the NJCU School of Business at 160 Hudson Street and besides the food and drinks, there will also be live music and art. Tickets can be purchased here for $37.74/person. If you like Filipino food or have been wanting to try it, this is the perfect opportunity to try some of the best options around and help support a great organization.
