City Cafe & Bakery in Journal Square is expecting to open to the public this weekend.
Located at 2800 Kennedy at the corner of Tonnelle and Sip, City Cafe and Bakery has the feel of a friendly corner coffee shop but with some more modern touches. The large windows will slide open during warmer months to let in the breeze and bring in lots of natural light and the interior has a clean, open design with tables as well as counter seating.
The cafe will serve up freshly brewed coffee and pastries every day with a focus on items that can be "grab and go" for those commuting but they will also have some eat-in specials. The pastries will be baked daily and range from muffins and croissants to slightly more indulgent fare like cake.
Join them this weekend as they launch their soft-opening.
