Weekend Events

This weeked in Jersey City is a busy one with a lot to eat do, so get ready!

Recently, Kraverie underwent some renovations and this Friday at 5pm is their Grand Re-Opening celebration with the mayor. They will have live music, food, and best of all, a special charity raffle for a private NY Harbor Sail for four people with catering provided by Kraverie. All proceeds will benefit Bike JC and their quest to help make Jersey City streets safer for bikers, a cause especially close to Kraverie after one of their founding members died after being hit by a car while biking.

Friday night also marks the soft opening for Pasta Dal Cuore who have been busy at work getting the restaurant portion of their space set-up and ready - including lots of recipe testing! Fresh pasta will feature heavily, but there will also be other Italian dishes on offer. The soft opening hours are from 5pm-10pm for dinner service. The fresh pasta counter will continue with regular hours.

This week, Cocoa Bakery has been offering special lemon blueberry cupcakes in honor of Cancer Survivor week and all proceeds will go to benefit charity organization, ChemoComfort. Get one while you can and show your support.

Saturday is a full line-up of events!

The Egyptian Festival will be going on all day in Journal Square with traditional Egyptian music, dancing, and food vendors. There will also be a mini-preview of the green market amongst the revelry. It starts at noon and will continue on until 10pm.

Brightside Tavern, 141 Bright Street is hosting their Saturday's are a Drag Brunch from 1pm-5m with the show starting around 3pm. Tickets are $35 each and include an entree, two drinks, and the show.

Hamilton Park is having their HPNA festival from 10am-6pm with live entertainment, fitness demonstrations, new and used goods from vendors and neighbors for sale, and food provided by some of their favorite local vendors.

Not only is it Saturday, it's the second Saturday of the month so Pacific Flea is back from 11am-6pm and this time, they are going to help you beat the heat and fuel up to shop with food provided by local vendors Andy's Market, Whealth and Co., bubble tea from The Big Straw, and gelato from newly-opened Bucket & Bay.

Saturday evening, check out the launch party for the Chilltown Collective, held at Porta from 11pm-3am . Expect lots of music and dancing along with lots of drinking.


On Sunday, June 14th, 6th Borough Market returns, and this time it's their official ribbon cutting and Grand Opening with the mayor! Many of the vendors will be offering special products in honor of the occasion. They'll also have you well-covered on the eats front with The Taco Truck there, Squeeze'd (a new local juicing stand), WHOS Gluten Free, Al Richards Chocolates, Outer Limits Hot Sauce and more.
