Cellar 335, a new tiki bar and restaurant, is slated to open soon. While an exact date isn't yet known, the owners were pointing to an opening as early as this week.
Run by several veterans of the BLT Restaurant Group (now known as ESquared Hospitality), Cellar 335 is located at 335 Newark Ave next to Madame Claude Bis as part of White Eagle Hall. The space is entirely built-out with a lot of exposed brick, leather booths, wall murals from Mr. Mustart, and even a living moss wall. They've spent the past couple of weeks training staff and want to have a focus on hospitality as part of the overall restaurant experience.
No menus have been posted yet, but the drinks will all be focused around a tiki theme and they plan to serve a progressive American menu with Asian influences. Once the restaurant is open, it will be open Tuesday-Sunday from 5pm-2am and they'll be offering Sunday brunch parties.
