As previously
posted, a new Mexican restaurant called La Mexicana has moved into the former diner on Route 440, but at the time, they were still working on updating the space and doing menu tasting.
Since then, they've made a lot of progress and are in the process of opening to the public. They were originally planning to open before Halloween, but have now set their opening date for this Friday, 11/4 and plan to celebrate with a
Grand Opening Party beginning around 8pm.

They've also posted their initial menu which covers basic bar food as well as Mexican restaurant standards like tacos, quesadillas, flautas and more while they also have a few specialty items like the Palomia-Bistec (garlic and lime marinated beef-round that's then pan-fried) and Pepper steak. Almost everything is under $10 and the couple of platters that aren't are only a dollar or two more expensive.
