Weekend Calendar of Events

Thursday, Sept. 7th

• Join WomenRising at Lutze Biergarten from 4-10pm for their first Sip to Support event. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to WomenRising,a  community-based organization focused on empowering and helping women in Hudson County through a variety of services ranging from counseling to shelters to job placement. 

Friday, Sept. 8th

• This Friday marks the return of JC Fridays, celebrating art with family-friendly, low-cost, and gree events throughout the city. There will be dispalys, exhibits, and live performances throughout the different neighborhoods including at restaurants and coffee shops all over town. Check out the map and make your plan!

• Whealth will be celebrating the opening of their new cafe at Journal Squared with a three course dinner. The 8pm seating is sold out, but there are still a few tickets left for 6pm. 

Saturday, Sept. 9th

• Join Midnight Market and the City of Jersey City for the Second Annual First Responders Charity Cook-Off at The Beacon, 20 Beacon Way from 11am-4pm. Emergency first responder groups will prepare food in different categories for tasting and judging by the crowd and there will also be a variety of food trucks available. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for kids, but if you purchase by 11:59 pm on Thursday, you can get $5 off the ticket price with code FIVEOFF and you'll be entered to win an annual Citibike membership. In addition, $5 from every ticket purchased will be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. 

• This Saturday is the final event of the Marketplace JC Summer Series at Journal Squared, 615 Pavonia Ave. They'll have food, music, and craft vendors from 11am-4pm.

• Stop by Lutze Biergarten on Saturday from 11:30am-11pm for the Lutze Rescue Bash with partnersLiberty Humane Society, Hounds in Pounds, Second Chance Rescue, Tails on Trails, and Hound About Town. It will be a full day of family and pet-friendly fun with happy hour specials all day and all proceeds going to support animal welfare efforts by their local partners. 

• On Saturday night, head to Harborside for the Jersey City Wine Fest. With over 100 different wines to try, food from vendors like Bacon Me Crazy, and music, this is always a great event. Tickets are $60, but you can get $15 off with code JCEATS

Sunday, Sept 10th

• Head to O'Leary's Publik House as they celebrate the start of football season with a PIG ROAST. They'll be open beginning at 12pm and will have great specials throughout the day.
