Weekend Events: $1 coffee at Grind, Departed Soles' Oktoberfest, Smith Wine Festival, & more

Friday, Sept. 29th

  • Swing by the Grind Shop to celebrate National Coffee Day with $1 small drip coffee.

  • Kick off the fall season with Oktoberfest at Departed Soles. They'll be releasing their very first lager, Helles Island and they'll have custom, limited edition steins available in the tasting room to give it a proper Oktoberfest tasting. They're also releasing Kimberly, a milkshake IPA.
Saturday, Sept. 30th
  • The Annual Jersey City Irish Festival is back this Saturday beginning at 11am at Exchange Place. They'll have live music, performances, drinks, and lots of food vendors selling some Irish eats as well as some good regular drinking food.
  • Join Porta on their rooftop for the Smith Wine Festival, being held from 1-4pm. Tickets are $40/person and include 100 different wines from 12 different vendors, small bites from the kitchen, and live music all afternoon.
Sunday, October 1st
  • This Sunday, Oct. 1st, Riverview Farmers Market is hosting their Third Annual People's Choice Apple Dessert Contest. Entrants must use New Jersey Apples and all desserts must be submitted by noon for tasting and judging. A $5 donation is recommended for anyone wishing taste and submit their vote for the winner who will receive $50 and a trophy. The market will also host live music performances throughout the afternoon.
