Your Guide to Hudson Restaurant Week,Winter 2018

Hudson Restaurant Week is back! If you're not familiar with Restaurant Week, restaurants around Hudson County (including Jersey City and Hoboken) offer special 2 or 3 course prix fixe lunch and dinner menus, ranging anywhere from $18-40. It will be running for the next two weeks from now through Friday, 2/6.

New to the list of JC restaurants participating this year are:
Piggyback Bar - Asian fusion by Chef Leah Cohen of Pig and Khao; offering lunch and dinner.
Pasta Dal Cuore - traditional Italian dishes made with fresh, housemade pastas; dinners only.
Atlas Public House - a globally inspired gastropub menu and some excellent NJ craft beers; dinner only.
Hard Grove - Cuban classics and much-loved mojitos; dinner and weekend lunches.
Pasta e Vino - fresh pasta from the owners of Satis Bistro; dinners only
Talde - Asian fusion with a focus on Filipino flavors and styles; weekday dinners only
PJ Ryan's Squared - Updated Irish pub classics; lunch and dinner.

The full list of participating restaurants and their hours can be found here.

Special Menus and Personal Favorites
While all of the restaurants offer prix fixe menus, some restaurants have a wider variety than others. Here are some recommendations to check out:

Pasta Dal Cuore is one of the few places that has vegan options for all three of their courses including a vegan panna cotta. Their pasta is always delicious and it's a great way to enjoy some excellent Italian dishes without meat or dairy.

Latham House serves great food with generous portions and the desserts are always fantastic which makes it a perfect place to go for Restaurant Week  - it's the full package and if you're not someone who typically orders dessert, it's well worth it to take advantage of this deal to do so.

Satis Bistro has a special prix fixe menu available during the week, but the one for Restaurant Week has expanded menu options and with the quality of their food, it feels more special. It's definitely a menu where you feel like you're getting the most bang for your buck.

Edward's Steakhouse is one of the few steakhouses in Jersey City and one of the most-loved in the area. Restaurant Week is an ideal time to experience a classic steakhouse meal while keeping the price tag in check.

Reminders
Some places only offer the special prix-fixe menus on specific days, so make sure you check before making your plans and reservations are always recommended.

Find a place where the discounts are worth it or you're going to get to try a dish that you might not otherwise. Don't go someplace where you're only going to save a dollar or two -you might as well go any other time and get exactly what you want rather than be limited to the set menu.

Enjoy!
