Sub Culture Now Open & Celebrating their Ribbon-Cutting

Sub Culture, a new sandwich shop at 260 Newark Ave in the Village, is now open!

The shop started their soft opening earlier this week and they'll be celebrating their ribbon-cutting ceremony and Grand Opening today, 4/20 at 11:30am

Sub Culture is a pop-culture themed sandwich shop with a wide range of sandwiches that reference movies, music, and TV from the past several decades. The multi-page menu has everything from Rutgers-style fat sandwiches to parms to deli basics. They also have salads, soup, platters, old school sodas, and in what is sure to be extremely popular, an extreme milkshake menu that includes shakes like the Obi-Wan Cannoli made with ice cream, cannoli cream, chocolate chips, and topped with whipped cream and a large cannoli.

From the indulgent sandwiches to the decor, everything at Sub Culture is taken to the extreme with the focus being on providing a fun, over-the-top, blast from the past that is all about nostalgic enjoyment. The restaurant features stations where you can play Super Mario, 80s & 90s music on the speakers, and reruns of Star Trek and other classics on TV.

Prices range from approximately $8-$12 and current opening hours are from 11am-10pm. Stop by Sub Culture's Grand Opening today or head over soon to check out some familiar scenes from your childhood while enjoying a new kind of sandwich.
