Jobs in Jersey City

Hoping to get started in the restaurant/food industry? Jersey City has options for you.

White Star Bar recently took over the former La Conguita space and as part of their expansion, they've started looking for help in multiple kitchen and FOH roles.

Madame Claude Wine is looking for a part-time sales clerk. While wine experience is helpful (beyond drinking it), it's not necessary.

Razza is searching for an experienced prep cook to join their kitchen team.

Bucket & Bay is looking for an experienced pastry cook who loves working with fresh, seasonal fruit and ideally, has gelato experience, but if not, would be willing to train.
In addition to Jersey City jobs, Del Frisco's Grille is opening their new Hoboken restaurant in September and they're hiring for over 120 positions, offering excellent compensation and benefits. I'm including part of the press release because there are a lot of great opportunities here especially for those looking to grow within the restaurant industry and work their way up.

Available positions include servers, bartenders, hosts, hostesses, bussers, line cooks, prep cooks, broiler cooks and dishwashers.

Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group offers an enticing package of benefits not readily seen in the restaurant industry as a whole, making Del Frisco’s Grille a highly desirable employer in Hoboken and the surrounding New Jersey area. This includes an excellent compensation package; 401k retirement savings plan with attractive matching contributions for both management and hourly employees; comprehensive medical, dental and vision (available to full time employees 60 days after they are hired); domestic partner coverage and management eligibility upon hire. Tuition reimbursement for specializations such as sommelier certification is also available.

WHEN:  Hiring office will be open Monday – Friday from 10:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.; Saturday’s by appointment only

WHERE:  2 Hudson Place, Suite 100 Hoboken, NJ 07030

They are willing to train, so if you have limited experience, don't let that discourage you.

Good luck to all those searching!

  1. White Star's a nightmare to work for. Ownership should just buy a place in Williamsburg already rather than trying to emulate places that were in vogue 3-4 years ago. Was hilarious watching him show YouTube videos to seasoned line cooks trying to teach them their craft. Place uses commodity level products and frozen items like OreIda Fries.
