Taking over the former Tommy Two Scoops location at 177 York Street, the café doesn't appear to have undergone too many renovations but rather, some surface changes like fresh paint, refurbished countertops and display cases, new furniture, etc.
There was a large coffee and espresso machine inside so it seems clear it will be a full-scale coffee spot and it also appeared as though they were setting up for both casual dine-in and take-out service. One excellent feature of that space is the fairly spacious and somewhat secluded backyard which lends itself well to a relaxed café feel.
While it didn't look entirely ready, they've started putting together window displays and hanging signs up, indicating they're getting closer. There's no information online yet, but they do have a Yelp listing.

They just opened in the last 3 days, and this place is wonderful! The couple that owns and runs this together is so sweet, and they're very proud of their baking. I had the plain croissant and a cafe au lait and both were delicious.
