It's the first day of April which, despite the temperatures still being low for a while, means we're getting close to market season and outdoor events! Spring and summer are often a whirlwind of activity in Jersey City so here are a few dates to book in your calendar now.
Saturday, April 9th - Pacific Flea returns! This outdoor market features vintage and handmade goods, live music, and great food from local Jersey City vendors.
Sunday, May 1st - 6th Borough Market is back for another season at the lot behind City Hall. They'll be there every 1st and 3rd Sunday offering a varied selection of vendors carrying everything from furniture to baby clothes along with a line-up of great food trucks and stands.
June 18th-19th - The Jersey City Project's Project: EATS is back again for another full weekend. This is one of the biggest events in Jersey City, jam-packed with vendors and eager eaters. The Jersey City Project always put on great events and this is one you don't want to miss.
Saturday, September 17th - The All About Downtown Street Fair is back again and even bigger than last year. This year, the fair will stretch down Jersey all the way to Coles St. including a couple of side streets along the way, so expect more vendors, more people, and more eating.
Saturday, September 24th - The Hamilton Park BBQ Festival is back for its 7th year. Sponsored by Silverman, the festival brings BBQ vendors from NY, NJ, and PA along with local Jersey City spots for a day full of good eats, music, and fun.
Along with all of these great events, the farmer's markets will be opening up again soon, so stay tuned for more information.
