Weekend Events

Hey Jersey City! Here's what's happening this weekend:

This weekend's biggest event is the two day Project Eats happening in front of City Hall from 11am - 7pm on both Saturday and Sunday. To find out more and what you can expect, check my post here about all the vendors.

This Friday, 7/17 (before the gluttony begins) is the soft open for the newest restaurant to hit Newark Avenue, Southern-insprired South House! They're planning to open around 4-5pm seving food and drinks but most likely won't have the basement or roof open for another few weeks.

Miss Wong's, the speakeasy at Talde, will be featuring DJ Jay Nyce on Friday with old school hip hop, funk, 80's, 90's and more. Entry is free.

Chopping Block Food Truck will be celebrating their one year anniversary on Friday and Sunday at Pier 13, featuring their best-selling specials over the past year.

This Saturday, July 18th, is Lucky 7's Annual Rock N' Roll BBQ! With a long line-up of live music acts, barbecue, and tons of drinks, this is always a packed event. To keep it family-friendly, they've also got a pool and bouncy house for kids so stop by and enjoy.

Don't forget to hit up all your local Farmer's markets this weekend so you can do a little damage control during the week. This Saturday will be the second day of the new market at Arlington Park, open from 9am-2pm.

The Riverview Park Farmer's Market in Jersey City Heights will run as ususal on Sunday from 10:00am - 3:00pm and the Farmer's Market at Lincoln Park will be open 9:00am-2:00pm

Have a great weekend full of delicious eats and drinks Jersey City!
