Construction Update - The Cliff, Choc-O-Pain

Not that this will come as a surprise given its popularity, but Jersey City Heights is quickly becoming one of the busiest neighborhoods to check out for new restaurants. Given that, more construction updates are here - check out two new spots opening within the next few weeks in the Heights and stay tuned for a bigger update on seven more places opening this year.

The Cliff, a vegan and vegetarian-friendly cafe, is celebrating their Grand Opening at 38 Congress Street this Saturday. They'll be offering brunch from 8am-4pm which includes their own special blend of coffee and an American, European, and Scandinavian-inspired menu focusing on healthier options. The restaurant has a back patio, sidewalk seating, and will be open for breakfast and lunch in the future.

Choc O Pain Bakery is planning to open their newest location this May. This is their second location in Jersey City and their third location overall. Located at 330-332 Palisade Ave, the space has been undergoing extensive renovation for several months and once finished, will serve both as an eat-in cafe and bakery featuring the sweet and savory freshly-baked goods Choc O Pain is known for and will be the primary baking facility and commissary for all other locations. They've also recently launched their spring menu which includes delicious options like the vegan roasted cauliflower sandwich, cranberry and white chocolate milk bread, and pistachio escargot.
