FM Jersey City at 340 Third St. is getting very close to opening although no official date has been announced. The 70's-inspired restaurant and cocktail lounge moved into the former Union Republic space late last year and is inspired by the rock, funk, and soul music from when radio was at its peak. The menu will feature modern takes on cuisine from that era with a focus on comfort food. They recently held an open call for bartenders and waitstaff and the restaurant is scheduled to have their ribbon-cutting with the city this Thursday, 4/20 at 3:30pm.
Brewshot Cafe is opening their third location and the second location in Jersey City. Originally founded and still located at 9 Regent St., the owners plan to keep that location going, but are also opening another space within the Cast Iron Lofts at 837 Jersey Ave. While they are still doing some minor renovations, the work is almost complete and they've started hiring for all FOH positions.
Burger Eatery is expanding their storefront! They're staying where they are are at 238 1st St. and will be expanding to the empty space next door. Construction is already underway and it looks partially complete. Burger Eatery is planning to use the extra space to help them expand their menu, their seating options, and will be coming up with a few surprises along the way.
