Brooklyn-based ice cream maker Ample Hills Creamery has announced they will be opening their new Jersey City location this Friday, 11/3 and the first 100 guests will receive a free scoop of ice cream.
Known for their indulgent combinations and mix-in-stuffed creations, Ample Hills is a mix of small and big business with a focus on small-batch products made in their Brooklyn factory but with an eye on industrialization and large-scale production. They're on a major growth streak, with new stores going up across the country and a nationally-known name, thanks their specially created Star Wars flavors.
Located on the ground floor at Urby, 200 Greene St, Ample Hills began construction on the store early last spring and was slated to open mid-summer, but after encountering some delays, had to push back the opening date. They plan to open at noon on Friday and going forward will be open from 12pm - 11pm Sunday through Thursday and from 12pm - midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
The shop will have a special birthday room, plenty of seating, and as they do at all their stores, will feature a special Jersey City specific flavor, The Golden Door. Check it out but be prepared to wait in some long lines, especially early on.
